The only serial solutions beyond USB that we are aware of is the G4Port from Griffin Technologies. Unfortunately, the internal modem must be sacrificed. If you can get around that, G4Port will work and act just like an Apple printer/modem port with full support for a serial MIDI interface, many of which have pass through switches allowing for connection to printer or modem.
