I just recieved my UA-30 yesterday and hooked it up to my iMac DV/se500. I'm running 9.1, and aside from having to reboot a couple of times for everything to settle in with everything else, it seems to run fine.
Now here's the caveat - I can no longer use Protools FREE with USB, which Sucks! What I'll need to do is record using Peak LE (supplied with UA-30) and save my tracks. THEN, unplug the USB, go into Protools free to integrate the various waves, bounce back to disk, close and reopen Peak to master.Kind of a pain in the @$$, I know, but the $230 price tag was so cheap I couldn't resist!
